Refund Policy
If you are unable to make an event, please let the centre know as soon as possible either via email Navy-WaterActivityCentre@mod.gov.uk or call 02392 547295/6. If we are able to reallocate your place a refund can be provided. Refunds are made on the following basis:
Service Personnel users
At least 28 days cancellation notice is required to receive a full refund for your course. Serving personnel who have to cancel a course due to unforeseen a operational tasking may receive a full refund. We may ask you to provide confirmation via your Commanding Officer or Line manager of the operational tasking to process your refund in full.
Non-Service Personnel users
At least 28 days cancellation notice is required to receive a full refund for your course. Cancellations of less than 28 days will not receive a refund but we will do our utmost to reallocate you alternative course dates.
Age Restrictions
You must be over 16 to attend courses provided by the centre.
The exception to this is the RYA Youth Sailing Week, where you must be between the ages of 12 and 16.
Eligibility
To be eligible to use the centre and for participation in courses, you must fit at least one of the following criteria:

Service Personnel (RN Receive Priority)

Reservist

RFA
-
Civil Servant
-
MOD Civilian
-
MPGS
-
Main Defence Local Contractor
-
Spouse/Partner of Above
-
Child of Above (up to age 23 if in full-time education)

Royal Navy Sailing Association Member / RNWAC Member

Volunteer Instructor

Under the above criteria you must hold either a valid MOD Form 90 or have a Unescorted Security Access pass into HMS Excellent.
Equipment
The centre provides all on the water equipment including wetsuits, drysuits, spray clothing, and safety equipment. However, users must provide their own hand, head, and footwear. A range of vessels are available for use (subject to availability).
